A new custom 2,800 SF residence located in Santa Monica, CA. This project is a collaboration with the client to achieve a coastal modern home which utilizes an open floor plan to allow visual connection and flow between living and social spaces. The exterior features zinc cladding and natural wood cladding to create a modern aesthetic. Custom floor to ceiling windows and large exterior sliding doors are utilized to create an indoor/outdoor living experience and provide visual connection to the landscape. Given the temperate environment, emphasis was placed on creating outdoor living spaces at both the front and back of the residence which allow interior living activities to flow into the designed landscape spaces. A landscaped roof top terrace provides an amazing setting for social events and sunset views
