This custom 2,800 SF residence in Santa Monica embraces a coastal modern aesthetic, combining clean architectural lines, durable materials, and sustainable design principles to create a contemporary home that responds thoughtfully to its coastal environment.
Developed in close collaboration with the client, the design features an open floor plan that maximizes natural light, enhances visual connections, and creates an effortless flow between living and entertaining spaces. Expansive floor-to-ceiling windows and large sliding glass doors blur the boundaries between interior spaces and the surrounding landscape, promoting a strong indoor-outdoor connection.
The exterior features a sophisticated combination of light gray and dark gray zinc cladding, complemented by warm natural wood accents. This carefully selected material palette creates a distinctive architectural composition that emphasizes clean geometric forms, durability, and a refined coastal character.
A spacious rooftop terrace extends the living space outdoors, offering beautiful sunset views and an inviting setting for entertaining and relaxation.
